i’ve said it (nearly every blog post) a zillion times – pixar is incredible and i adore ‘em wholeheartedly. at the D23 conference in CA, lots of pixar news has been spilling out about new films in the next couple years…
one of which is a dinosaur film – the brief premise announced is: What if the fateful meteor that killed the dinosaurs never struck Earth? This project takes us into a world where dinos and humans co-exist” – how incredible of a concept is that??? and how has it not already been done before? (that i know of..) – cannot wait. comes out in 2013…
the other is a film that takes place inside the mind (pixar’s inception? whoa… nearly passed out.. i’m back) – it will be directed by pete doctor, who directed two of my very favorite pixar’s “up” and “monster’s inc.” … this new film’s mini twitter-ready premise is “… the inventive new film will take you to a place that everyone knows, but no one has ever seen: the world inside the human mind.” and it comes out in 2014.
that’s not all! next year, the prequal to “monsters, inc.” which is titled “monsters university” is going to be incredible.. here’s a crap-quality pic of mike and sulley as 18 year olds!

oh gosh, i can’t wait guys… between each of those films and “brave” coming out next year as well… i’ve never been more excited for pixar news (which is saying a lot… because no pixar news has made me not excited)
have a good sunday!
love, ryan
Hey guys!
My goodness, can you believe that in just a few short weeks, the FINAL Yearbook EP will be released into the wild? On one hand, this last year has felt faster than a speeding bullet, but on the other hand, it feels like Yearbook began many, many moons ago. What a crazy, but incredibly enjoyable year!
FINAL YEARBOOK COVER-ART UNVEILED!
Today it is my great privilege to unveil the final Yearbook cover art, for the upcoming “September” EP! As many of you already know, the uniquely gifted artist, Geoff Benzing is responsible for painting these wonderfully beautiful nature scenes each month of Yearbook. What an impeccable job he’s done! A huge thanks to Geoff for turning each and every one of the bizarre ideas I threw at him into such incredible images.
Just as the “September” EP represents the final chapter of my Yearbook project, the cover-art features the closing of another adventure as well: If you recall, our little silhouetted photographer friend (who has graced each and every Yearbook cover) began his journey around the world last October, starting with taking pictures of the ghostly beautiful Box Jellyfish… In the month of September, our photo-taking friend has come full circle and has returned safely to his home, on the beautiful island of Oahu in Hawaii. Reunited with his dog, in this final cover, our little explorer takes a camera-less stroll near his home, on his favorite beach in the world, Lanikai Beach. The two islands in the background are called “Nā Mokulua,” (locals call them the “Mokes”) and are the very same islands featured in background of the October cover. Off to the left, there’s a small “pod” of “Spinner” Dolphins, which are common in Hawaii and other tropical waters. These small Dolphins are famous for their acrobatic displays in which they jump and spin out of the water.
A wholehearted farewell to our little photographer friend! But… something tells me that more adventure awaits around the corner…

2. SoundWorks Collection (a site, which makes video features on the behind-the-scene sound creators of films, games, etc. inspiring and plain ol’ awesome)
3. Oreos (which isn’t a cookie, mind you… it’s an Oreo. that’s right… it deserves it’s own genre)
4. Snapseed (an ios photo editing app that is really wonderful… trumps the others i seen by a long-shot)
