Chances are that these lyrics will ring a bell for most of you: “I would walk 500 miles, and I would walk 500 more.” Place the melody? It’s an incredibly popular song from the late eighties by The Proclaimers. Why am I talking to you about The Proclaimer’s song? Well, because I covered it and its available on iTunes right now! Hope you enjoy it.
My aforementioned cover of “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)” will be featured on tonight’s (5/9) Grey’s Anatomy!!! SO thrilled to be a part of the show again, just one week after they featured my song “Uneven Odds“! Honored to say the least. Tune in tonight (thurs) 9/8c on ABC!

i want to share a video with you that i had the incredible privilege to be a part of. it’s from charity: water and it is one of the most beautiful and inspiring videos i have seen in quite some time.
it’s about a little girl who has literally saved and changed thousands of lives forever. please watch. i could not be more proud to have my music support this incredible story.
also i wanted to thank each of you who have donated to this incredible cause… i have been blown away by the generosity. truly made my birthday so special this year. thank you soooo much. because of you, hundreds of people will soon have clean, safe drinking water.
my beautiful and talented wife, cayt is a fantastic writer. this is a fact. she has a genuine gift with words and story. i’ve had the privilege of reading bits and pieces of her writing over the years, but until now, she has kept her incredible talent shyly under wraps. which is why i am so delighted to introduce you to her brand-new blog, “lumièrepure” (which means “pure light” in french), where she will be sharing bits of her writing, thoughts on the craft of writing and lots more. obviously i am a bit biased, but lumièrepure is exactly that, a place of pure light and if you’re a fan of words, story, imagery and the craft of knitting all of those things together, i hope you’ll bookmark her page and visit often!
I filmed and compiled this mini time-lapse video out our van window, while we drove from IL (home), through Asheville, NC to Norfolk VA. on our Spring Tour with Christina Perri.
