“LOST”

Posted on in Uncategorized

since we’ve been home from touring, i’ve begun to catch up on this final season of LOST. i think i’m about 10 episodes away from the finale. (yeah, i know – i’m pretty behind) i have a long, happy history with LOST but i really have no idea what’s happening in the show any more… which has been true of many seasons of the show, but this time my mind seems less interested in figuring it out.

oddly enough, it’s still mostly fun to watch, but i’m hoping to get back onboard and at least feel like i know what’s happening (even if it’s a placebo effect) before the show takes it’s final bow.

i absolutely loved the 1st season (and even the 4th and 5th)

how about you? favorite season? how’s season 6 stacking up in your books? comment away! (not too many spoilers though, please.. ha)

love, ryan

I really think LOST is still the greatest thing on television. It’s absolutely different than it was in season one, but they still manage to do a good job keeping it true to itself. Season 6 is one of my favorite seasons so far, despite what others might say. Keep it up!

I think that lost is truely one of the best shows on television. As of late, most producers and network people believe in "the dumbing down of America". Meaning that we can’t handle shows that continue from one episode to the next. So what we end up with is a whole lot of reality shows like the biggest loser (which is best enjoyed while eating a dominos pizza) and more comedy that wraps up in 30 minutes. While sometimes I’m in the mood to not think and just enjoy tv, there are times that shows like that aren’t enough for me. And that’s when shows like lost come in. While it can be hard to follow, it values the viewers ability to figure things out for themselves.

P.S. Come back to Nashville soon. We will be awake this time :)

Love LOST. This season has been pretty outstanding, taking me back to a lot of the "What the heck?!" moments & twists of season 1.
I still have no real idea what’s going on. I have a vague theory, but with Lost, it’s anyone’s guess how it will end up.
But at least it was a fun ride, right?

I’m a big fan of the show. I’ve enjoyed Season 6 so far, but I can see how it’d be hard to follow if you didn’t at least keep up with Season 5. The alt timelines are downright confusing without the time travel story to set them up. Season 6 has given us some good answers and closure for certain characters, but it’s also spent a lot of time shuttling characters back and forth, in and out of different island factions, which seems to be a bit superfluous given the limited time they’ve got to wrap up certain mysteries. I’m going into the finale hopeful, but guarded, knowing I’m still gonna have some questions that never got answered when it’s all said and done. They’ll handle the big questions. I can live with that even if I’ll never understand why Walt was special.
